Do things get shipped out on Sundays if said that shipment takes 24 hrs.???

generally not. but each company can be different, so you should read their FAQ or contact them.

all the carriers (USPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) have workers working 7 days a week, and generally each of them offer a sunday pick up or delivery.

some companies (ie like a Ford Motor assembly plant or a wal-mart warehouse) ship and receive product 24/7, so carriers are operating to meet this demand. we have all the carriers, as well as trucking companies, contract carriers, taxi cabs even, all operating everyday and every night to transport freight and people around as needed (and part of why cars cost a lot to make...)

many companies (perhaps like web retailers) may operate a shipping dept 7 days a week, but many do not. however, even if shipping dept is open 7 days, some companies will not have sunday pickups bcs they, being small, generally have to pay extra for carriers to come by on sunday. but not always. and, generally, during november/december, many retailers and carriers DO add sunday pickup too, as there is so much holiday shopping demand.

several variables, so hard to say without more details. it sounds like you maybe ordered something on the web? but i dont know for sure what you are asking for, if you own a business and want to ship things out, then yes it can be done.

Rarely, because Sunday is not a business day. Only specially priced mail-overnight priority mail shipments may be done in 24 hours wherever there are 24 hour postal offices open in the city of shipment and in the city of arrival.
